What you'll do
Join this five hour resin art class in Melbourne and create your own timber resin serving board to impress at your next dinner party!
This class is suited for beginners to intermediates looking to pick up some more knowledge around resin art. With over 18 years of experience, the team at Art Tree Creations will take you through all of the steps required from the beginning to the end to create your very own timber resin piece.
This class will cover:
- What is resin and safety required for using it
- Discuss the resins on the market and which are best suited
- Explore the mixing of different pigments and colours
- Timber preparation is required to achieve the best finish
- How to get the best results from your resin and troubleshooting
- Techniques in sanding and polishing for the best results
The resin will take a min of 24hrs to dry so you will also need to arrange to collect your artwork the following day or complete your booking with shipping. Afterwards, you'll have your new resin art serving board as a new main centrepiece in your home.
Please note:
- Shipping can also be purchased with your ticket at a flat rate of $15 (for Australia-wide, International will incur an additional fee). Shipping can also be organised on the day for the same rate.
- Resin art is not suitable for children, attendees need to be 16years+ due to undeveloped lungs in children and the nature of toxins in resin. It is also not suitable for pregnant women and we are happy to discuss art options around this that are suitable.

This workshop is for all levels.
What you'll get
- You will take home a timber and resin serving board that you can use at your next hosted event. The knowledge obtained can be applied to any timber and resin project, up to large creations like a river table. The classes come with ongoing support that is just a phone call or an email away.
- You will gain the knowledge and know-how to finish off your pieces created in the class at home.

Your teacher
First starting in 2011, Art Tree Creations taught classes in creating your own resin wall art from the family home garage. Shortly after, due to limited supply we started making art boards and colour pigment for colouring resin.
This seems like so long ago (about 450 classes ago) but there are some things that have't changed.
Art Tree Creations is still a family owned business that is dedicated to teaching people how to do various mixed media art forms properly and safely.
