Uncovering the Gold 5 Week Poetry Experience

Come with me on this 5-week poetic adventure where we’ll uncover the gold within us through the power of poetry! In our 5 weeks together, we’ll immerse ourselves in the oceans of poetry, and you’ll write amazing new work and share it in a safe, supportive, and inspiring space. We’ll also get to know each other and form a little community! Get ready for the magic.After the 5 weeks, we’ll come together for GOLD – a special performance where you’ll share the poetry you’ve created, celebrate your journey, and connect with your fellow participants. GOLD offers a joyful and empowering way to bring our creative journey full circle.What will we do?Create amazing new poetryI’ve found ways to tap into my poetic voice – to nurture it, feed it, and allow it the space to emerge.

Become part of a communityWhen we come together to share our poetry and bounce off one another, not only does it ignite our creativity and generate work we never would have done on our own, it also gives us a sense of being part of something bigger. In this course, we’ll build our own little community. We’ll exchange ideas, inspire each other, discuss our blocks, our process, and have FUN!Celebrate in final performance – GOLDAfter the 5 weeks, all participants are invited to perform in GOLD, a final performance. We’ll present the gold we have uncovered and celebrate our incredible journey. This performance is included in the course experience and offers a safe, supportive, and uplifting space to showcase your poetry and connect with the community you’ve been building over the 5 weeks.8 spots available to ensure participants receive the maximum benefit. Whether you write/perform poetry a lot, dabble, or you’re curious and looking for a new outlet, this workshop is for you.When and where? Tuesday nights – Sept 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 @ 6:30pm – 9:30pm.At North Carlton Railway Neighbourhood House, 20 Solly Ave, Princes Hill (Venue is fully accessible).Bring snacks. We will have little breaks.
