Untutored Portrait Drawing Session (Life Model)
Join an untutored portrait drawing session working from a live model in a calm, supportive studio environment. This session is intended for artists who are comfortable working independently and wish to develop their observational drawing skills through extended study from life.
The session consists of one long pose, allowing sufficient time to carefully observe and develop a detailed portrait. This sustained format supports deeper focus on proportion, structure, tone, and likeness rather than quick sketching. Participants work alongside other artists in a quiet, shared space, with opportunities for informal exchange during breaks.
Session details:
  • One extended pose (with short breaks)
  • Untutored, self-directed drawing
  • Focus on sustained observation and portrait development
  • Small group setting
What you'll get
Gain confidence in portrait drawing through direct observation of a live model in a welcoming, supportive environment, and take home your precious drawings at the end of the session.
Knowledge required
Suitable for artists with some drawing experience who are comfortable working without instruction and wish to refine their portrait skills through direct study of a live model.
What to bring
Paper, pencils and what ever you need to draw.
