Hello there, I'm Mel and I'm thrilled to share my artistic journey with you!My love for painting and all things creative started at a young age. Growing up, I was frequently drawing and crafting, thanks to the influence and support from my mother and grandmother, who are incredibly creative people themselves. This creative spark led me to pursue art throughout my school years and eventually earn a Diploma in Illustration. I then ventured into the world of Graphic Design, working in the printing industry while also running my own side business in Signwriting and Printing for the past two decades.However, it was when my first child turned four that I found the time and inspiration to pick up the brush again. I started a painting class at my local community house, and to my delight, I won some ribbons at the Whittlesea show for my artwork. This validation encouraged me to take on the exciting role of teaching adult and children’s painting classes, a job I have thoroughly enjoyed ever since. There's something incredibly fulfilling about helping others build confidence in their artistic abilities and seeing their faces light up when they learn something new.In 2023, I expanded my horizons by starting monthly Paint & Sip classes, which have been an absolute blast! I love meeting new people, sharing my creativity, and creating a fun, relaxed environment for everyone to express themselves. Teaching is more than just a job for me; it's a passion. I find immense joy in passing on my knowledge and techniques to others and watching them grow as artists.So, if you're looking to explore your creative side, build confidence in your painting skills, or just have a fun time, I invite you to join me in one of my classes.
