  • 5/5 from Jo Torrisi, attended Sep 2026: Our teacher was so kind and hand no issues dealing with all of our abilities we ranged in age from 12 right through to 52 and she was great with us all.
  • 5/5 from Lyle Turner, attended Sep 2026: Great experience, first time using a spinning wheel - lots of fun! You really get focused and they instructor is there to give you a hand at any point. Would highly recommend for something different.
  • 5/5 from Simi, attended Aug 2026: Loved this class! The teacher was very supportive and her instructions were easy to follow. It's a smaller class so you get one-on-one time with the teacher which is very helpful. We made 2 pieces each and are going to return for the glazing class. Highly recommend!
  • 4/5 from Collin D, attended Jul 2026: Enjoyable session, good instructor. Would recommend.
  • 4/5 from Hena Mathew, attended Jun 2026: Teacher was late for 15 minutes, with no communication, otherwise class was good, njoyed good information interesting
  • 5/5 from Jennifer Burgess, attended Apr 2026: Our teacher, Chantal guided us through expertly with a friendly professional approach. Considering this skill needs lots of time and practice we all managed to make something usable. Her humour and hands on help made the afternoon a treat.
  • 5/5 from Chelsea Barr, attended Jan 2026: In this class we made two bowls, the teacher was fantastic, she was patient kind and had really good advice and using a gift card was incredibly easy!
  • 5/5 from Kahlisha Hutchinson, attended Jun 2025: Loved it so much, we had a great class. Appreciated the small group and Jules was fantastic!
  • 4/5 from Katinka Delgado, attended Jun 2025: Jules was absolutely amazing, really talented, calm in her explanations and very keen to help every participant succeed and create their best piece of pottery. I found that 1.5h was probably a bit short to work through three pieces of clay as it takes a bit to get the hang of the throwing wheel. I also thought that five weeks to pick up the finished pieces (has to go into a kiln) was rather on the long side. But the class itself was wonderful, would absolutely recommend!
  • 5/5 from Jacqueline Wootton, attended Jan 2025: Patrick was a great teacher and the class was really well structured. Will definitely be back :)
  • 5/5 from Jen Blazley, attended Nov 2024: Patrick, our teacher, was a wealth of information, showed us the steps and then helped us individually with each step, encouraging us to keep trying. Had a fabulous time and feel much more confident with the clay.
  • 5/5 from Giuseppe Pilagatti Jordao, attended Nov 2024: Rebecca was excellent, gave us as much knowledge (and more!) that we could handle and try out, and also helped us with our pieces. We realize this is a first experience for many people (like it was for us) so we weren’t expecting to be able to do anything amazing. I was pretty satisfied with our pieces.
  • 4/5 from Natasha Solanki, attended Sep 2024: Good class fun to try and get involved with. Venue was great and easy to find and all tools were available. Teacher was good but would have appreciated her not being on her phone as much whilst we were at the wheel and perhaps checking in with us a bit more to help out.
  • 3/5 from Jane Yare, attended Aug 2024: Becca was friendly, however lacked some engagement during the session. At the start of the day, she should have introduced herself and given a very basic introduction of the session. Only when asked her name she acknowledged she hadn't introduced herself. Lesson should also go for at least 2 hrs particularly if participants are expected to clean afterwards. There should also be more time allowed to familiarise with the material seeing most people have never worked with it prior. Additionally, pick ups should be outside of lesson times as this is done during the lesson taking the time away which is then not added at the end.
  • 5/5 from Emma Cameron, attended Jun 2024: Really fun and relaxing experience! We had an amazing time learning and creating two pieces, and thank our instructor for their constant support and guidance. Wonderful atmosphere, looking forward to our next time!

  • 5/5 from Lena Crowley, attended Mar 2024: I was given a clay throwing class at Mitra Ceramic House for my birthday. I bought an extra ticket so that I could do the class with my daughter. Rebecca our instructor was patient and clear. All materials were provided including the aprons. It was a lovely therapeutic way to spend a Saturday morning. Will definitely go back, and will definitely give a class as a gift!
  • 5/5 from Miranda Jones, attended Mar 2024: Great instructions and fun experience! Loved that the small group size, which allowed us to get help from the teacher throughout. We had no experience and were still able to create two finished products. Highly recommend as a unique activity and you get to learn a new skill.
  • 4/5 from Hannah Mackay, attended Mar 2024: Great option for a casual private group, quality material, but time runs out quickly and need an extra class for glazing.
  • 5/5 from El Dumigan, attended Feb 2024: Have wanted to try out wheel throwing for a while and thought it would be fun to do a Sunday morning class. The space is super cute and the teacher was super lovely and kind. I feel I learnt a lot and am excited to see my pieces fired! Might even come back to graze them.

  • 5/5 from Pia Dennis, attended Feb 2024: Received a voucher for Christmas after wanting to learn pottery throwing for a while. The venue is easy to find and has easy parking. As for the class itself, all materials were provided and our teacher was very accommodating and helpful. She first did a demonstration and then helped us at our own wheels, so you could pause and ask for directions if you were uncertain. The small class size (4) meant we each got help to make two nice pieces to take home.
  • 5/5 from Greg Sweetman, attended Jan 2024: This was a fantastic chance to have a go at wheel throwing. Great information and advice and a good chance to have a go (with very mixed but fun results!) Highly recommended.
  • 5/5 from Fiona Hilditch, attended Nov 2023: This was a great class for beginners or for people who just want to try wheel throwing pottery for fun. I like the fact that it was a small class size (4) as this allowed the teacher to spend more time with each of us. I thought it was great value for money as we got to make 2 pieces and we even had time to make a third piece. The teacher was great. They were very knowledgeable and explained everything very clearly. I am not very artistic but found the teacher and other students very encouraging in the class, which was great. I would love to do more of these classes. The venue was nice and location was good. It's 5 stars from me :)
  • 5/5 from Melissa Anderson, attended Oct 2023: Becca was a wonderful teacher, very calm and patient. It was intimate and relaxing as there were only 4 students. Even though I wasn't great I still enjoyed it as it was more about the experience than the end product.
  • 5/5 from Aidan Solly, attended Sep 2023: A great class! Our instructor was very informative and the small group size meant she was able to assist everyone when needed. The studio space was very clean and welcoming. Each person had their own wheel to work on as well as a good amount of clay and other sculpting tools. Even working slowly and redoing some steps, I had ample time to work on my pieces. Would highly recommend if you’re looking to try throwing pottery.
  • 5/5 from Isabella Turner, attended Sep 2023: As someone who is not normally a creative person i was genuinely surprised at how much i enjoyed this class! 100% would recommend for anyone, my best friend and i had an amazing time!
