In this workshop, kids will learn the basic skills to master the pottery wheel from a friendly expert. They'll get the chance to let their creativity flow as they get hands-on and learn how to mould and shape the clay into four unique pieces to take home! Kids will also learn about how to glaze your piece to prepare it for firing.

Charlie was really friendly and helpful. His advice easy to follow and we got up to 4 pieces. It’s harder than it looks to do but the kids (8&10) were able to make something they wanted to bring home.

We had so much fun at the kids wheel throwing class. Charlie was patient & kind with the kids and they all made some beautiful pieces. It was a great introduction and gave the kids a chance to try a new craft. Now for the wait for the pots to be glazed & fired. We can’t wait to see the final results in a few weeks time.

Our daughter really enjoyed the experience. Though we were a little confused by the fact that it was offered as a childrens’ workshop & an adult was participating in it. If we know that parents were allowed to participate with their child, my husband or I would have taken part, so our 8 year would not have been left on her own. Also, I would suggest that all children be keep on premises till they are collected by parent etc… as our 8 year old came running up the street to us while we were three stores away.

The kids and I had a fantastic time. Charlie was a very patient teacher, spending with each of us so that we could make some pieces. It was messy which the kids loved! I’m looking forward to doing the adult class with some friends!
