This workshop is suitable for beginners or with some prior experience who would love to experience the incredible joy of turning a humble piece of clay into a decorative and functional work of art that you get to keep!
In this exciting workshop, you will learn how to make functional ceramics on the potter's wheel. Your instructor will take you through wheel throwing techniques such as centering and collaring, along with instruction on how to use the various pottery tools.
You will work at your own pace with both group and individual instruction where you can make anything you desire, from bowls to cups and vases.
So what are you waiting for? Come and have fun with clay and give yourself a break from the hustle and bustle where you get to sit down, relax and enjoy being creative with your loved ones and friends.

- Unlimited use of clay and use of tools.
- You can make as many pieces as you would like in this session with one of your creations signed and kiln fired to completion. One piece is included in the class.

Welcome to McCanless Pottery! We are a creative clay space located within the Le Studio Art Space and Gallery in beautiful beachside Mordialloc, Victoria.
We enthusiastically offer fun filled instruction in wheel throwing, hand building, sculpting, and ceramic brush decoration in addition to our kiln firing services and our classes for kids, formulated to unleash your child’s unique creative talents.
Our classes are designed to suit kids and adults and we support all social and cultural backgrounds including but not limited to the LGBTQI, NDIS and aged care communities.
We absolutely adore clay and are overjoyed to share our knowledge and passion with you. We want you to experience the incredible joy of turning a humble piece of clay into a decorative or functional work of art that will last a lifetime.
