PREPARING the ARMATURE
You will be provided with a wooden base, threaded rods & re-cycled polystyrene for body shape. Wire and a poly. egg will also be provided for the head and neck.
SCULPT (or Mold) HEADS
Using Apoxie Sculpt 2 part Clay, create three heads
FABRIC CLOTHING
Dip pieces of fabric in Paverpol fabric hardener, then drape to cover the Polystyrene. ( Up-cycle a T-shirt for this process if you wish)
DETAIL ADDITIONS
Using Mop string, clay and Paverpol Artstone, add detail to the bodies, heads and base.
PAINTING
Paint your sculpture using the dry-brush method.
PRODUCTS
Paverpol fabric hardener , Paverpol Artstone and Apoxie Sculpt will be usd to create your sculpture.

What you'll get
Students will take home a sculpture for indoors or outdoors. The sculpture will need to be kept indoors for 2 weeks until it dries completely. If you have not quite completed your ladies, you are welcome to attend a 3-hour Thursday or Saturday class to complete your work.

As a self-taught sculptor, my minimal training has been a liberation, allowing me to approach clay with refreshing freedom and no preconceived notions of its "proper" use. "Ignorance is not only bliss, but genuinely constructive, particularly in a medium as adaptable as Polymer & Air-Dry clay."My artistic heart belongs to whimsical art, where I blend various clays with diverse mediums to birth captivating creations. This distinct style has garnered international recognition, notably a first-place award in the International Polymer Clay Association Sculpture Award Global Exhibition 2023 and a close second in the People’s Choice Sculpture for Clyde 2023. Beyond my studio, I am a dedicated educator, offering weekly classes and workshops in Oxley, Canberra, and serving as the Co-Ordinator for the long-running Contemporary Craft Retreat at Tuggeranong Southern Cross Club, celebrating its 15th year.
