What is floristry?
Floristry has been around since the 1800s and yet still remains to be a popular and rewarding craft today. But what does floristry actually mean? Often, you will see floristry and flower arranging used synonymously, however they have different meanings. Floristry is the whole package—growing, selling and arranging flowers into the bouquets you see at shops and local florists. On the other hand, floral design or arranging involves creating eye-catching arrangements using flowers and foliage and understanding the balance, texture, colour scheme and overall design when you put flowers in a vase.
Try flower arranging for beginners
For those who are new to flower arranging, why not try our floristry courses in Brisbane?
