Discover the ancient art of Aboriginal weaving in this hands-on workshop led by First Nations artists and knowledge holders. Weaving is more than a craft—it’s a cultural practice that carries stories, traditions, and connections to Country.
During this session, you’ll learn traditional weaving techniques using natural and locally sourced fibres. Your guides will share the history and cultural significance of weaving within their community, offering insight into how these practices have been passed down through generations.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or already love working with your hands, you’ll create your own woven piece to take home—such as a small basket or decorative item—while gaining a deeper understanding of Aboriginal culture and the importance of caring for the land.
