Alisha Abate

Hi! I’m Alisha, a Melbourne-based artist, sculptor, and spatial practitioner with over a decade of experience exploring how we inhabit space, create form, and connect through material practices.My creative journey began at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), where I fell in love with tactile, hands-on media, working with everything from clay, plaster, and metal to 3D printing, painting, drawing, and printmaking. Over the years, my work has grown into site-responsive installations, public art commissions, and exhibitions across Melbourne including West Space, Testing Grounds, and Midsumma. In 2016, I founded Soft Infrastructure, a practice exploring how systems of care, community knowledge, and spatial design intersect.I believe creative expression is fundamental to wellbeing and connection.
