Hi! I’m Alisha, a Melbourne-based artist, sculptor, and spatial practitioner with over a decade of experience exploring how we inhabit space, create form, and connect through material practices.
My creative journey began at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), where I fell in love with tactile, hands-on media, working with everything from clay, plaster, and metal to 3D printing, painting, drawing, and printmaking. Over the years, my work has grown into site-responsive installations, public art commissions, and exhibitions across Melbourne including West Space, Testing Grounds, and Midsumma. In 2016, I founded Soft Infrastructure, a practice exploring how systems of care, community knowledge, and spatial design intersect.
I believe creative expression is fundamental to wellbeing and connection. Teaching allows me to share trade-based and tactile sculpting techniques in an approachable, supportive environment where anyone can build confidence, experiment with raw materials, and drop into a flow state.
Experience & Qualifications
10+ Years of Practice: Experienced sculptor, spatial practitioner, and community leader.
Academic Background: VCA graduate; Advisory Board Member for Interior Design & Spatial Disciplines at RMIT University; guest examiner and lecturer.
