Brandon was a delightful teacher, he was so encouraging and gave some great pointers. Would highly recommend for beginners as well as people who already have a bit of experience drawing and painting. Thanks so much Brandon!
  • 5/5 from Tara Mathews, attended Jul 2026: Such a relaxing class. Brandon is a generous teacher and helps everyone to get the best out of their artwork. It was so lovely to take home the finished piece in a frame!
  • 5/5 from Marina, attended Jul 2026: Brandon made us all feel at ease and at no point were we rushed, even if we were beginners. There were some warm up exercises and lots of tips along the way as well as individual advice on the progress of your piece. I liked how you could choose what you wanted to draw and everyone had a different subject and style. This class was great value too with the inclusion of the frame and drinks/nibblies. A very enjoyable and relaxing way to spend the afternoon.
  • 5/5 from Bridget, attended Jun 2026: The teacher was great, he kept the pace so beautifully, it was easy to keep up with the rest of the group. I've been to other workshops where the end of the allotted time snuck up on me but Brandon gave the perfect amount of cues to make sure the group was on track without feeling rushed. The amount of coloured pencils available was just mind-blowing! I enjoyed the warm up exercise our teacher got us to do before getting into the main art piece, it was a great way to start chatting with the group too! I absolutely loved my art piece and the framing at the end was a pleasant surprise that brought it all together. I would 100% participate again!
  • 5/5 from Jennifer Wyhoon, attended Jun 2026: I brought this workshop as a gift for my mums 80 th birthday. It was a fantastic morning, well presented, gorgeously put together with a very nice grazing table, with lots of learning techniques to on. Where I thought I wouldn’t finish my piece, we both did & were so pleased with our painting. Definitely go again!
  • 5/5 from Candice Le-Roux, attended Jun 2026: The workshop was fantastic. As soon as i walked into the studio, I felt inspired by the way the table and room was set up and decorated. The teacher was very good with presenting what needed to be done and they made sure we were minding our pace so that we could compete our art work in his time to have it framed. The framing really was such a lovely finishing touch. The beverage and snack board options were also great.
  • 5/5 from Christy Nixon, attended Jun 2026: Such a wonderful class! The teacher was fantastic, the space beautiful and the outcome so cute! I was rather impressed with my painting for someone who is usually terrible at art
  • 5/5 from Sarah Henderson, attended May 2026: Great teacher, great atmosphere, and learnt a few new techniques which was awesome I’d definitely recommend to others and would participate again!
  • 5/5 from Verity Mansfield, attended Apr 2026: Love it. Such a lovely relaxing atmosphere and way to spend an evening. Loved how the steps were broken down and how relaxed the instructor made us feel. Definitely going back again to do another class. And loved my artwork.
  • 5/5 from Sandra Hayward, attended Apr 2026: Brandon led us expertly through the process of creating a unique watercolour pencil sketch. I was pleased how well my banksia turned out and the framing finished it off nicely. The food and wine were a great accompaniment to make a relaxed and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Brandon’s Artsie workshops.
  • 5/5 from Yvonne Zissiadis, attended Jul 2025: Very enjoyable & informative class with Brandon. Felt so relaxed afterwards. Will be booking another class as lots of fun
  • 5/5 from Fiona Purdie, attended Jul 2025: Absolutely wonderful morning at the botanicals watercolour pencil workshop. Our teacher had thought of every detail and was exceptionally well prepared. The table was artisically presented with all the supplies we needed. Each setting also had a lovely selection of little treats laid out plus we were offered tea, coffee or mimosas. Brandon was kind, attentive, very helpful and guided the art process well. I never thought that I was capable of creating a picture I was proud of but by simply trusting the process, the magic happened. I absolutely recommend this class. Fiona Purdie

Hey! I’m Brandon—but feel free to call me Bran—and this ball of fluff next to me is Indie, my furry sidekick and resident studio mascot. I started Artsie Studio in 2024 right here in sunny Perth WA, with a big love for all things art and design.

My creative journey kicked off when I was just 9, diving into art classes and never really stopping. These days, I’ve added a Graphic Design qualification to the mix—but more importantly, I’ve made it my mission to help you tap into your creative side, no matter your experience level.
At Artsie, we’re all about fun, easygoing adult workshops that are a little different from your usual paint-and-sip scene. It's not about being “good” at art—it’s about creating something that’s uniquely you, and celebrating that uniqueness.

I’m also a big believer in slowing down and making space to do something just for you. Art’s good for the soul, and even better with a chilled-out vibe and good company.
So grab a pen, take a breather, and let’s get Artsie together!
