Bean Culture is a boutique coffee roasting company in Canberra, Australia. We specialise in corporate coffee events and working with local cafes.
It’s no secret that Australia has a long-standing love affair with coffee. No longer is coffee simply a drink, it’s a culture, a religion, something akin to divinity. We worship the humble coffee bean and its hallowed grounds. At Bean Culture, we think of our roastery as a place of worship and our baristas as our leaders, authorised to perform the sacred rituals of our faith: grinding, roasting, extracting, frothing and pouring.
At Bean Culture we are passionate about all things coffee and we want to share this passion with as many people as possible. The art of coffee is not something that can be picked up overnight. It takes passion, knowledge, and practice, but with enough dedication and the right guidance, you too can master the art of the perfect brew.
We offer barista training Canberra locals can trust. Based in Mitchell, Canberra, Bean Culture is the first roastery to boast an open space coffee roastery and professional barista training. From bean roasting beginner to latte art extraordinaire, our training courses are specially designed to give you the knowledge, passion and skills you need to succeed. We cater to all levels of experience and tailor each class to each group. You can learn more about the history and culture of coffee, while mastering a range of techniques, including coffee machine operation, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, milk texturing, bean roasting and grinding, espresso preparation and presentation.

The experience was great! Everything that we learnt was very interesting and informative. Loved steaming and making the milk/art. Sad that we didn't get to try it. Had tons of fun.

I absolutely loved learning about coffee, and I appreciated the teacher's method of starting from the beginning. I really did enjoy myself a lot. The instructor addressed all of our questions and made sure we were engaged in the material and having fun while learning it. I struggled with my artwork but he insisted in training me and gave me numerous opportunities to try. Totally enjoyed very bit of it.

We had a really great time doing this course - it was extremely informative, interesting, and fun! Highly recommend, especially to people who don't know much about coffee but would love to learn more :)

When I started I was alittle confused. The booking was strange (taked about haveing a party up to 20 poeple) and the loctaion was hard to find. But when I got there WOW, they where really friendly and as I have never poured a coffee they were able to teach really easily because of the equipment they had on hand. The best thing about it was the teacher Bardley, he is just a chill dude and instead of it feeling like a class. It felt I was on the first day on the job and he was my co-working just teaching me the ropes. I would really recomend just talking the course for any reason work or just to show off skill. (the photo below the left coffee was the last one I made and the right coffee was my first try.)
