Ready to become a backyard beekeeper? Learn to keep bees with Darryn from Bowral Bees in the Southern Highlands of NSW!
Over six hours, we'll prepare you for everything you need in your first year of being an awesome backyard beekeeper including how to inspect a beehive and how to harvest and store your own delicious honey.
What you'll learn:
- All about bee biology and hive structure
- Apiary set up and what you can do at your property to help bees
- Specific details on all the gear you need
- Bee management over a year
- Hands-on time how to inspect a beehive
- Pest and disease management
- Harvesting and storing honey
The course is hosted at 'Greenlaw' a historic property in Bowral with an extensive bee-friendly garden.
At the end of this unique Bowral workshop, return home with a comprehensive course booklet and the confidence to start beekeeping in your own backyard!
