In this 6-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll build the confidence and practical skills to start your own backyard hive — from understanding how a colony works to safely inspecting bees and harvesting your first honey.
You’ll leave with the knowledge, skills, and resources to begin your first year as a beekeeper with confidence.
What you'll learn:

  • Apiary set up and what you can do at your property to help bees
  • Specific details on all the gear you need
  • Bee management over a year
  • Hands-on time how to inspect a beehive

Held at "Greenlaw", a historic Bowral property with established bee-friendly gardens, this workshop offers a calm, practical environment to learn directly from the hive.
