What you'll do
Learn how to play drums with confidence at The Emu Tree's fun and beginner-friendly drum course in Belair, Adelaide Hills. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this course is designed for all ages who want to dive into the exciting world of drumming.
In this workshop, you will explore the basics of drumming, including rudiments, stick control, hand and foot techniques and even delve into music theory made easy. With a focus on practical learning, you'll get hands-on experience as you learn different beats and fills and even play along to your favourite songs.
Christian Teusner has been working and teaching in youth music development for over 23 years internationally and will guide you every step of the way. Having performed and toured internationally for over 30 years, you'll learn from someone with a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Lessons are scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays, with each session lasting 25 minutes. Our supportive and encouraging environment ensures that even beginners feel comfortable and at ease, as they embark on this exciting musical journey.

My name is Christian Teusner and I have been playing and performing/touring/recording drums for over 30 years internationally. Highlights include 20 years in Dublin Ireland as session musician, recording with legendary producer Steve Albini in Chicago at Electrical Audio. I have been working in Youth Music Development internationally for 24years focusing on positive experiences and creating opportunities for youth. My passion is music and teaching is one of the wonderful vehicles to empower others.
