Carve out the bowl of the spoon head using curved gouges.
Cut the Shape
Use a tenon saw to cut the shape of the spoon.
Use a Spokeshave
Shape the wood with a spokeshave.
Use a Shinto Rasp
Shape the head of the spoon by using a rasp.
Sanding
Use various grits of sandpaper to smooth the wood.
Oiling
Oil the wood to bring out the grain.

No prior woodwork knowledge or skills required. Participant’s ability to complete the project within the scheduled timeframe may vary, and additional bookings may be needed to finish the work.Preference will be given to traditional hand tools over power tools, acknowledging that this will involve increased time and effort.
