What you'll do

Join our beginners block printing fabric class, where you'll dive into the art of printmaking. Discover the joy of designing and printing your own unique fabrics, creating stunning pieces to take home and cherish forever.

Don't worry if you're new to printmaking — this is designed especially for beginners, providing a supportive and encouraging environment for you to explore your creativity. You'll learn how to carve designs onto a block and transfer them onto your choice of a tote bag or tea towel.

Throughout the class, you'll work with high-quality materials and receive guidance to bring your visions to life. As you immerse yourself in this enriching activity, you'll experience a sense of accomplishment and pride in what you create. It is so much fun!!!

By the end, take home your own block-printed creation, infused with your personal touch.

Suitable for all from teens to older - come and use a different part of your brain, experience a meditative time during carving and surprise yourself with an amazing result!

What to bring:

Clothing that you can get messy in (the paints may stain so we recommend an apron)

Established in 2022, Red Lane Studio is an art and homewares business, and the culmination of a number of passion projects all rolled into one.

Everything starts with the original art at Red Lane Studio - either from paintings or Lino prints by Melbourne Artist Claire Cummack.

Originally trained as an Architect, Claire has utilised her eye for design and her passion for colour to bring you one off products and designs from her own studio, products to uplift and bring a little 'happy to your home'.

Teaching has always been a passion for Claire, having run many classes in the past for kinder and school kids as well as classes for the aged. Now is the time for all those in between as she happily shares her knowledge, excitement and expertise to create a new passion in you, and allow you to unleash you own creativity and learning.

Classes by Claire are set at an easy entry level and you are guided through the whole experience in a manageable timeframe.
