The Stitch Society's Crochet Clutch Workshop is perfect if you're an absolute beginner in crochet or you've tried following online videos to learn how to start but just don't get it!
We designed this workshop so that you can learn the basic (and most commonly used) stitches in crochet and make something beautiful and practical too.

You'll learn how to read a crochet pattern too.

Hi there!
My name is Abby and I started The Stitch Society to blend my passion for textiles and connection – inspiration and creativity are better shared together.
I currently teach crochet, embroidery and sewing (including alteration and mending) – with an ever-expanding curiosity for other textile crafts, which will be added to the list of offered workshops.
I have always loved creating, writing and learning new things. But my love for making stitches and loops started when I was recovering from a small surgery that kept me off my feet for a while. Those hooks, needles and yarn not only kept me sane during that time but also sparked a whole new journey for me.
I have been teaching textile workshops and 1:1 sessions for over two years. I cannot express the joy it gives me to share my passion and skills with others to develop their own textiles journey – or simply giving another person the opportunity to indulge in a session for creative expression and enjoyment. I love watching the connection one makes with the craft and/or their connection with others in the workshops!
I always try and find ways to help those who attend my workshops – so they find a technique that works for them. I’ve even taught myself both left- and right-handed crochet to accommodate for all!
I have completed my Certificate III in Fashion and Textiles, and currently completing my Diploma of Fashion and Textiles to better my understanding and skills in handing textiles to help others develop theirs!
Join The Stitch Society to create, learn new skills, and craft connections. I cannot wait to share a session with you!
