Recent reviews of Beginner's Kintsugi Art Workshop
4/5 from Sarah Crawford, attended Oct 2026: We really enjoyed this class, but would have liked a little more interaction from the teacher to explain the process and tell us more about the art form. He had earphones in for the whole class so we didn't want to interupt him too much with questions. We were overall happy with the experience but one area of improvement would be to have some interaction with the teacher.
3/5 from Katrina Jamieson, attended Oct 2026: It was ok. I had fun hanging out with the other people their.
5/5 from Nicole, attended Sep 2026: We enjoyed our Kitsingu class very much! Thankyou!
5/5 from Sarah Adamson, attended Aug 2026: Yao our teacher was so patient and kind. His attention to detail and personalised support was outstanding. I’d highly recommend this class - it’s a great analogy for life that when you’ve felt broken- with strength and resilience you will be stronger afterwards- just like our ceramic masterpieces. Yao has plates for participants, however I brought my own pieces to repair
5/5 from Jacqui McBride, attended Aug 2026: Thank you so much - i thoroughly enjoyed smashing and repairing. Lovely teacher who is very patient and kind. Very knowledgeable Thank you
4/5 from Marissa, attended Aug 2026: Great class, nice small setting, would recommend
5/5 from Jeannette Borg, attended Jul 2026: A fun afternoon spent with a friend and other participants, and a unique plate to bring home.
5/5 from Donna Roberts, attended Jul 2026: Our teacher was great! Explained everything & kindly provided support & guidance when needed. Good value for money
4/5 from Simone Carr, attended Jun 2026: While the class was great, the facilities, in particular the seating was not comfortable at all for larger persons. I do not recall if there was information about suitability for individuals with mobility issues. As this location is upstairs with no lift access any classes delivered here may not be suitable for everyone.
5/5 from Katherine Adcock, attended Apr 2026: We enjoyed a very relaxing Kintsugi Class with Yow! He was so personable and explained the process and cultural aspects in a really meaningful way.
5/5 from Lauren Cazneaux, attended Aug 2025: Great teacher, super relaxing. Would love to do it again sometime.
4/5 from Julianne, attended Aug 2025: Easy to follow instructions, beautiful plate to take home.
5/5 from Anne Drinkwater, attended Jul 2025: Thoroughly enjoyed this class. Yao was so good at teaching and explaining the process and the difference between the traditional way and the modern way. So pleased with my piece.
5/5 from Pooi Nie, attended Jul 2025: Yao was a great teacher & extremely generous of his time not only during the class but also afterwards - it was so nice of him to offer help with personal projects afterwards if we had any questions we needed his help with. I did this class with my 87 year old mum - she has Alzheimer’s Dementia & I’m trying to engage her more in useful & interesting activites. This one was our 1st & boy was she blown away! I did give her the background beforehand but it wasn’t until we did the class that she appreciated the opportunity she was getting to learn something so culturally & historically significant. She needed a lot of hand-holding from Yao, & I was relieved that he was more than willing. When we were driving home, mum could not stop raving about her plate & how amazing the class was. I want to try this at home with some broken pieces I wish to mend, so Yao thoughtfully helped me with the required products by putting them together for me to photograph so I can buy them when I get home to Sydney. My only suggestion for follow up or change is that in your requirements you say to bring snacks & we really didn’t have any time for this, not were we able to enjoy a cup of tea/coffee with them. So there was an expectation that was set up here, which didn’t really need to be from our persoective we were fine without, but we had gone to a little bit of thought on what to bring so best take that out for future if it isn’t part of the class. Thanks again Yao!
5/5 from Aurielle Watts, attended Jul 2025: I had a wonderful Kintsugi class! My teacher was very kind, helpful and explained everything really well. I had a great time and will recommend to others. Thank you!
5/5 from Shefali Elizabeth Mathew, attended Jun 2025: Excellent!
4/5 from Niki Melabiotis, attended Jun 2025: Very interesting class.
