Blacksmithing Class for Beginners

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn all the essentials of blacksmithing, including how to use coke, anvil, tools, and tongs, as well as how to manage the heat and forge. You'll be instructed on making your first ever item to take away with you.

Don't worry if you've never tried blacksmithing before - our experienced teacher will guide you through every step of the process. You'll be provided with all the necessary equipment, including a leather apron and PPE, so all you need to bring is a curious mind and a willingness to learn. You'll be instructed on making your first ever item to take away with you.

After your first lesson if you wish to return for more you'll have the creative freedom to make anything you desire, whether it's a practical item like a bottle opener or a decorative piece like a fire poker. The possibilities are endless! You'll walk away with a fine piece that you've crafted with your very own hands.

This workshop is suitable for everyone, whether you're looking for a fun activity to do with your kids (11 years old and above), a unique date night idea, or a team building activity. Each class is a "one-off, " but if you can't get enough of it, feel free to book as many classes as you'd like.

If you have a specific project in mind, our teacher can assist you in achieving your vision. From design to planning and breaking down the process, we're here to help you every step of the way.

Our forge is available for private bookings every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Simply contact us to arrange a suitable time and day for your visit.

For your first visit, all materials are included. After that, you'll only need to pay for the materials you use. Don't worry about coming up with new ideas - our workshop is designed to inspire creativity.

  Safety gear, mini tour of the forge, mini safety induction, leather apron and leave with a smile and the piece you made.
  Note about safety - Wear a cotton shirt (synthetics are potentially flammable). Make
sure your jeans fit over the tops of your closed-toe shoes or boots so nothing hot can fall in.
Safety glasses and earplugs are available, or bring your own. Bringing your own leather gloves
is a good idea. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Arriving 5 minutes early is helpful too
