Have you ever wanted to learn the art of bonsai? Well, this class is perfect for you! Bonsai is the ancient Japanese art form of growing miniature trees in containers, which helps us connect to nature.
This hands-on class is designed for beginners, where you can enter a slow-paced, relaxing, and calm environment.
Bonsai means ‘plant in a tray.’ 'Bon' means tray or pot, and 'sai' means plant or planting.
This involves stunting a tree's growth by skilful branch and root pruning. The tree is also prohibited from developing by keeping it in a small container.
When you begin to bonsai, you are shaping the idea of a tree that belongs somewhere in the future. Bonsai are often passed down through generations as heirlooms, leaving a legacy of hope, serenity, and grace.
In this class, you will put together your very own bonsai tree.
You will learn how to:
  • Select your outdoor tree
  • Select your pot
  • Consider style
  • Wiring
  • Repotting
  • Pruning
At the end, you will take home your bonsai tree planted in a container, as well as the confidence to continue caring for the plant in years to come!
What you'll get
Your very own Bonsai with a ceramic tray.
