The baking process consists of nine different stages. The stage shown in the image is an early step, performed after kneading, where we begin stretching the dough to develop the gluten network that will form the foundation for the bread.

Bulk fermentation

Bulk Fermentation

Between the kneading and handling stages, the dough is given a resting period, during which it ferments, increases in volume, and becomes airy and bubbly.

After the long process, the results are delicious, healthy, and nutritious.

Baking For Health
Baking For Health

My bread baking journey began in 2007, when I first discovered the world of nutrition and human health. That was a pivotal moment for me - I realised how deeply the food we eat impacts both our body and mind, and it sparked a passion that has shaped my path ever since.
I went on to earn a degree in Clinical Nutrition with distinction and spent years helping people improve their wellbeing through practical and sustainable lifestyle changes. This foundation strongly influences the way I approach bread - focusing on quality ingredients, simplicity, and mindful processes.
Interestingly, I didn’t bake at all before studying bread making - I was purely into cooking. I actually didn’t enjoy baking, mainly because of the precision and structure it requires, which felt very different from the freedom of cooking. But once I was introduced to the world of bread baking through professional training, something completely clicked - and since then, I haven’t been able to stop.
I completed two professional courses in home-style bread baking over six months at a culinary school, and after baking hundreds of loaves and refining my techniques, I knew I was ready to start teaching and share this passion with others.
Over the past year, I’ve run dozens of workshops and taught over a hundred students, helping home bakers gain confidence and consistency in their baking. I specialise in small, hands-on workshops (up to 4 participants, with the option to extend to 6), which allows me to give each participant personal attention and real, practical guidance.
What many people don’t realise is that great bread doesn’t have to be complicated. Once you understand a few key principles, baking becomes intuitive, enjoyable, and incredibly rewarding - and that’s exactly what I love helping people discover.
For me, teaching is about creating that “aha” moment - when something that once felt intimidating suddenly becomes simple and achievable. Seeing people pull their own beautiful loaf out of the oven for the first time never gets old.
Bread baking, for me, is more than just a skill - it’s a way to slow down, reconnect with real food, and create something meaningful to share with the people you care about.
I’d love for you to join me on this journey and discover the joy of baking your own beautiful bread at home
