  • 5/5 from Noeleen Vincent, attended Jun 2026: Excellent class.
  • 5/5 from Jane Eddy, attended Feb 2026: Pilar was a great teacher. I really learnt a lot of good basic knowledge in a short time. The lesson was scaffolded to ensure easy progression from simple tools and techniques and a good foundational understanding of paint and tools. Thank you Jane
  • 5/5 from Connie Frantzis, attended Feb 2026: I had a wonderful experience attending the Introduction to Oil Painting class with this teacher. She has a calm, encouraging manner and explains techniques in a clear, step-by-step way that makes even complex concepts feel accessible. I especially appreciated the OH&S introduction to the materials used, which made me feel confident and well informed from the start. In the session, we learned how to mix paints using primary colours to create a broad palette and completed a still life painting. It’s an excellent course for beginners, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn or further develop their oil painting skills.
  • 5/5 from Chris Raab, attended Feb 2026: Great teacher. Super well organised. Well paced.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Sep 2025: Pilar was delightful and made it easy for beginners like myself to approach oil painting. This was the first time I’ve ever used it. It was a lovely introduction to the medium where we covered the importance of tones and mixing primary colours. They provide all the materials so you can get a feel of it if you’re not ready to invest in a kit. Time will fly by, I could’ve easily stayed past the 5 hours! You can BYO your own lunch or there are some cafes and shops nearby, parking was also easy to find on the quiet side street. I left feeling inspired and wanting to pursue it further. Would definitely recommend!
