Painting Your Jewellery Base

You’ll start with pre-made, dried jewellery pieces created from recycled paper. In this step, you’ll explore painting techniques to add colour and bring your designs to life.

Choose from a range of colours to match your personal style.

Adding Texture and Creative Details

Adding Texture and Creative Details

Next, you’ll enhance your pieces by adding textures, patterns and decorative details. This is where you can experiment and make each design truly unique.

Sealing with Varnish

Sealing with Varnish

To strengthen and protect your jewellery, you’ll apply a varnish coating. This step makes your pieces more durable, weather-resistant and gives them a beautiful glossy finish.

Assembling Your Jewellery

Assembling Your Jewellery

Once your pieces are sealed and ready, you’ll assemble them into wearable jewellery. You’ll learn how to attach findings and complete your designs with a professional finish.

Your Finished Creations

Your Finished Creations

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have your own handmade jewellery created from recycled materials. Each piece reflects your personal style and creativity.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll transform recycled paper into beautiful, wearable jewellery in a relaxed and creative atmosphere. Using pre-made pieces, you’ll paint, add texture and personalise your designs, then seal them with varnish for a glossy, durable finish before assembling your final creations.
This is a fun and unique group experience where you can enjoy creating something new together. No experience needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy both the process and the final pieces you’ll be proud to wear or gift.

I’m a Melbourne-based visual artist and designer with over 15 years of experience across jewellery, sculpture and painting. My journey began with a background in industrial design, but over time I found myself drawn more and more to working with my hands—exploring materials, textures, and the quiet transformation that happens in the making process.
A pivotal moment in my practice came when I started experimenting with discarded materials—especially something as simple and overlooked as egg cartons. Turning waste into intricate, refined jewellery and sculptural forms completely changed the way I think about value. What others throw away, I see as full of potential. This idea now sits at the heart of everything I create and teach.
I’m deeply inspired by Persian art and architectural tiling, and you’ll often see these influences reflected in my work through pattern, repetition and colour. I love combining this cultural heritage with contemporary sustainable practices, creating pieces that feel both meaningful and modern.
Teaching is something I genuinely love. For me, it’s not just about showing a technique—it’s about creating a space where people can slow down, connect, and feel proud of what they make. I’ve run workshops across Melbourne with various local councils and community groups, working with both children and adults. Seeing someone transform simple recycled paper into a beautiful, wearable object is always a special moment.
Many people are surprised to learn that paper can become something so strong and refined. Through my workshops, I share not only the process of making, but also a different way of seeing materials and creativity.
Alongside my artistic practice, I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Industrial Design, and I have extensive experience delivering creative workshops in community and educational settings. I also hold a valid Working With Children Check, which supports my work with younger participants.
Whether you’re joining to learn a new skill, spend time with friends, or explore sustainable making, I aim to create an experience that is relaxed, inspiring, and memorable.
