Add a little handmade magic to your festive season and discover the timeless art of stained glass.
In this festive and beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the Tiffany Technique (also known as the copper foil method) and create two beautiful stained glass Christmas ornaments to take home. Whether they hang proudly on your Christmas tree, catch the sunlight in a window, or become heartfelt gifts for loved ones, your handmade decorations will be treasured for many Christmases to come.
There's something special about decorating with ornaments you've made yourself. As light shines through the coloured glass and festive lights twinkle around them, your creations will add warmth, personality, and sparkle to your holiday celebrations.
Working in a small-group environment, you'll be guided step-by-step through the stained glass-making process. No experience is required, making this the perfect Christmas craft workshop for beginners, creative friends, couples, families, and teams looking to celebrate the season in a meaningful way.
During this workshop, you'll learn:
  • How to safely use stained glass hand tools
  • How to select colours and textures for your design
  • Glass-cutting techniques
  • The Tiffany copper foil method
  • Soldering techniques for assembling stained glass
  • How to create secure hanging loops for your ornaments

Hi, I'm Lena, a glass enthusiast, artist, and lifelong lover of making things with my hands.

My journey into glass began with a simple engraving project and quickly grew into a fascination with all things glass. Since then, I've explored glass blowing, lampworking, leadlighting, and copper foil stained glass, with formal training at Melbourne Polytechnic helping to turn a creative curiosity into a true passion.
What I love most about glass is its ability to transform with light, colour, and a little bit of magic. Through my workshops, I enjoy helping others discover the joy of creating with glass, learn new skills, and leave with a handmade piece they're proud of.

Founded by artist Lena in 2023, 3minheat.art celebrates curiosity, creativity and the joy of exploring new ideas through glass art.
The name "3minheat" comes from a phrase Lena often heard growing up, describing her tendency to become intensely interested in something before moving on to the next passion. Years later, following an ADHD diagnosis, she realised that what others saw as inconsistency was actually curiosity, adaptability and a love of learning.
Today, 3minheat.art is a reflection of that journey. It embraces the spark of inspiration, the excitement of discovery and the belief that creativity doesn't have to follow a single path. By transforming a once-critical label into a positive one, Lena created a brand that celebrates individuality, self-acceptance and the courage to follow one's curiosity wherever it leads.
