- 3/5 from Lucinda Morris, attended Oct 2024: This class was fun and ok but probably quite overpriced. It is advertised as “paint a mug” but they only had 2 mugs left so not everyone could paint one and had to choose from a plate or a large cup with a thumb dimple in it. The paints were also mislabeled and quite confusing with many dried out or unavailable, again a bit disappointing for the price. Our teacher was really lovely and friendly but it was mostly self-led as she sat at the top of the table doing her own work and didn’t wander around helping and giving directions. Other classes I have done the teacher has painted their own example to show the students but then been up and active giving help and advice. Finally, the “2 hours” includes clean up time which threw us all off a little bit and should probably be mentioned at the start of the class so that we know how long we had for our designs - we were completely washed up and out the door before the class finished at 9:30pm. I think the price would be justified if all pieces and glazes were available and labelled correctly and if a little more direction was given from the teacher to make it worth the $100pp. We did enjoy the class though and thought the teacher and space were nice

You get complete freedom to paint whatever you’d like onto your ceramic mug with support and assistance from the teachers about techniques and colours that you can use to fulfil your vision successfully. Both of our teachers were super friendly and ran a great class for our group - can’t wait to come back!
