Glassblowing Class: Make a Tumbler

Blow your own glass cup you can be proud to drink out of

3 hours

Class size 1 to 6 (public classes), 1 to 10
$330 (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

This class focuses on blowing glass and creating tumblers with the blowpipe. The degree of difficulty of this class is slightly higher, so if you haven't done any glassblowing before, we recommend trying our Beginners Glassblowing class first. However, if you are keen to dive right into cups, we're more than happy to welcome you into the class.
This class is all about tumbler making. Each student will be given an opportunity to make a tumbler in clear and colour.
You'll be guided every step of the way, from gathering glass from the furnace, blowing a bubble into the molten glass, shaping the cup, transferring it to a punty iron and then opening it up!
All tools and materials will be provided by the studio. Just bring a snack and a water bottle and come ready to learn and have fun.
Class sizes are limited to six to ensure a safe and attentive atmosphere and everyone is welcome from ages 14+ (accompanied by an adult).
Please note: Your glass pieces will need to slowly cool for 12-14 hrs after the class, so the price includes carefully packing and shipping your pieces (within Australia) the following week.
What you'll get
Two beautiful glass tumblers, one in clear glass, one in colour.
