What you'll get
Half the session is dedicated to the heat of the forge. You will learn introductory blacksmithing techniques, heating steel to a workable glow and using hammers and swage blocks. Shape a rustic, durable metal dipping bowl perfectly sized for soy sauce or wasabi.For the second half, we slow down the pace. You will select wooden blanks and learn the meditative art of hand-carving. Using specialised knives and planes, you will shape, smooth, and finish a pair of custom chopsticks tailored to your grip.
