Remember glue books?A pile of magazines, a glue stick, stickers you were saving for something special, and hours spent cutting out anything you liked and sticking it onto a page simply because it made you happy.Stick It! is basically that - but for grown-ups.Join me at Messy Makes for a relaxed creative play session where you’ll get a couple of glorious hours to switch off, make a mess, and play in your journal.Bring along your glue book, scrapbook, junk journal, or art journal, and I’ll provide the good stuff.You’ll have access to a big shared stash of scrapbook papers, magazines, stickers, washi tapes, markers, ephemera, and all sorts of lovely bits and pieces for you to cut, tear, layer, scribble on, and stick into your pages.There’s no project you have to finish.There’s no example yours needs to look like.And nobody is going to ask you what it means.You might create a beautifully coordinated vintage spread.You might make a page entirely in pink.You might cover something in stickers.You might cut up old magazines, layer papers, add a bit of paint, or scribble over the top.You might stick something down simply because you like it.That’s the point.Stick It! isn’t really a traditional art class. Think of it as a regular creative play date - a place where you can come, sit around the table with other women, and actually use all those lovely creative things instead of saving them for “one day”.And if staring at a blank page makes your brain suddenly forget every creative idea you’ve ever had, don’t worry.
