It was perfect for beginners, and the small class size meant the instructor could give everyone plenty of individual attention whenever we needed help. One thing I really appreciated was that they drew up a sketch of our rug design beforehand, which saved a lot of time and made the whole process much less intimidating. The class was fun, well-organised, and incredibly rewarding. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely do it again!

We got to design our own pieces and with some help at the start, got right into the tufting process. Will definitely do this class again. I’d love to try something with brighter colours next time.

  • 5/5 from Lorri Hill, attended Nov 2025: Sez was great, very informative and helpful. Instructions were easy to follow and Sez guided you through all the stages of tufting a rug. Send your design through before class so your canvas is ready to go. Deciding on a design and transferring to canvas can take a considerable amount of time away from actually tufting your rug and finishing it. Great class, thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend giving tufting a go.
  • 5/5 from Ishwarya Raghuraman, attended Oct 2025: Sez was lovely and guided us very well. She had to help me a million times but she was still very sweet. Tufting itself was a stress burster. Really enjoyable!

  • 5/5 from Michelle Nguyen, attended Sep 2025: We had such a great time at our private tufting class! Sez was incredibly friendly and supportive, guiding us through every step to make sure we loved our creations, and they all turned out amazing. Highly recommend, even if you’ve never tried tufting before!
  • 5/5 from Clementine Davison, attended Sep 2025: Sez is absolutely beautiful. She has created a space that is welcoming and comfortable, and she has the gift of being a natural teacher. Thanks for helping us discover a new passion!
  • 5/5 from Annelle Casten, attended Jul 2025: I had such a great time with Sez! The whole experience was fun, hands-on, and surprisingly therapeutic. Sez was welcoming, patient, and made the whole process so approachable, even for beginners. I left feeling proud of what I created (even if it wasn’t perfect!) and totally inspired to keep tufting. Highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to try something new and creative in a relaxed, encouraging space.
  • 5/5 from Jash Dutia, attended Jul 2025: It was an absolute blast and would highly recommend for anyone to do!
  • 5/5 from James Dalton, attended Jul 2025: 17 out of 5 stars – would tuft again. I attended a tufting workshop with the utterly divine Sez – part artist, part wizard, part calming forest witch who smells faintly of inspiration and success. She guided me (and my more complex design) through the sacred art of poking yarn through fabric with the confidence of a woman who has seen things…… definitely chaotic rugs. Now, let’s talk about my design. Was it simple? No. Was it reasonable? Also no. Did it look like something that would make an art teacher weep softly into their Pinot Noir? Absolutely. But did Sez flinch? Not even once. This woman stared into the swirling void of my overly ambitious tufting dreams and said, "We can work with this." Like Michelangelo with a tufting gun, she helped sculpt nonsense into something vaguely magnificent. She offered support, encouragement, and at one point, possibly a small summoning ritual to stop my yarn from misbehaving. Her catchphrase became: “We can adapt as we go” — which is also now tattooed across my soul. By the end, I felt I had created a tufted masterpiece If you’re thinking of trying tufting — do it. Do it with Sez. She will empower you, hype you up, and make sure your wildest creative impulses are gently but firmly wrangled into woollen reality.
  • 5/5 from Jessica Bugeja, attended Jun 2025: Great workshop - I would definitely recommend it for anyone interested in giving tufting a go.

  • 5/5 from Denise Tsalacopoulos, attended Mar 2025: Lucia had a wonderful time. She managed to do it with just a little help from her nanny. Caz was great in explaining the whole process. Being able to do a piece and take the finished product home was great.
  • 5/5 from Karen Gabbedy, attended Mar 2025: The class was easy to book online and Sez was accommodating by holding the class in the afternoon rather than the morning time slot as we had to travel around the bay to get to the class. We booked a private class and none of us had even held a tufting gun before - all total newbies. We had a blast! Sez was a terrific teacher and really took the time to help out with troubleshooting and colour selections. I would absolutely recommend this class if you are thinking about having a go at rug tufting - Sez was amazing.

  • 5/5 from Glen Outhred, attended Oct 2024: This was a fantastic experience! Sez was an amazing instructor who showed us everything we needed to know and helped heaps recommendations She was fantastic at communicating prior to the booking with the info as well as a check in. We went her the design prior and she drew it on the canvas for us. We found this helped a lot as we aren't drawers and also saved us time so we could focus on tufting, glueing, carving etc. Highly suggest having a design prior to arrival There were 6 people in total which was a good size for the experience Everything was included, definitely worthwhile bringing a change of clothes Sez was very friendly and easy to get along with. She took some great photos throughout and sent them straight to us So much fun! We will be back!
