  • 5/5 from Kaylynn Kukulski, attended Feb 2025: Carol is a fantastic teacher! She’s knowledgeable, approachable, and answers all questions thoroughly. When I made a mistake, she explained the cause, what to do instead, and suggested I keep the mistake in place for future reference. I appreciated her patience and clear explanations.
  • 5/5 from Sze Ming Wong, attended Dec 2024: Carol was great and was very patient. Thank you very much
  • 5/5 from Madaline Heard, attended Nov 2024: Carol was a wonderful teacher, very patient, thorough and lovely to chat with. We worked on basic stitches and single/double stitches. Carol provided everything needed for the lesson, which really took the pressure off to buy the right materials. It was a really intimate workshop with just my friend and I, plus Carol, which I really appreciated. The whole experience was really wonderful, and I've left with a new skill that I want to work on.
  • 5/5 from Gabrielle Louise, attended Nov 2024: Carol is so patient and had no issues going over things (continually). She is so experienced having mastered the craft but still able to explain the basics at an understandable pace. The session included how to properly hold the yarn and hook to allow for fluid stitching and get a feel for tension, how to start with a slip knot, make a chain and then begin a ring. Carol used examples of her own work to explain the stitches and different shapes that can be formed. I found that watching Carol and her methods was more helpful than a video, and I look forward to practicing the basics a bit more to be able to get to the next stage with my own projects. I highly recommend a session with Carol if you're an absolute beginner.
  • 5/5 from Melissa Lewis, attended Sep 2024: Carol gave a great intro to crochet. She was open to me bringing my own pattern to learn and work on. She answered the many questions I had. This was a great value class. Venue was good, easy to find parking beside the library.
  • 5/5 from Charlotte Curtin, attended Sep 2024: Loved it! Had a great time learning a new skill. Carol was lovely and so patient with us while we got the hang of learning to crochet.
  • 5/5 from Toby Black, attended Aug 2024: Carol was very patient and helpful, she provided us with yarn and a hook to take home and was very hands on with how she helped us. We initially had a group of 3 but one of us fell sick, but Carol was very willing to book us in again without charging the person who wasn’t able to come again. Very good price for what you get and very beginner friendly
  • 5/5 from Simone Andrewartha, attended May 2024: Carol was lovely & very patient. We did the basics only in this class but I look forward to another more advanced class in the future.
  • 5/5 from Lan Pham, attended Apr 2024: The class was lovely. Carol is very experienced and was so easy to talk to and patience throughout the class. I had no experience prior and wanted to learn amirugumi, so she brought and gave me enough materials to start on a ball - the foundation of all amirugumi patterns. Happy with the progress I made during class.
  • 5/5 from Misty Struthers, attended Apr 2024: The teacher for grandma's magic was wonderful, very helpful and knowledgeable The class was an absolute delight and I walked away being able to crochet a scarf, probably alot of other things too Thank you dearly!
  • 5/5 from Grace Piskopos, attended Mar 2024: Carol was a very sweet and experienced teacher, we had a very interesting and amusing conversation while I was learning. After trying a few times on my own to teach myself crochet and failing terribly I left knowing two separate stitches. Really happy with how it went!
  • 5/5 from Athena, attended Feb 2024: Kind and very easy to understand, loved the class, very informative thank you so much
  • 5/5 from Melinda Sorraghan, attended Dec 2023: My daughter and l had a good time! Carol was very easy to chat too and happy to answer all my questions. Carol was very knowledgeable and I am grateful she was able to fix my errors as we went along. Value for money for the two hours, even got to take the crochet hook and wool home so we will keep practicing and will be back to learn another crochet method. Thanks Carol
  • 5/5 from Augustine Ang, attended Nov 2023: carol was knowledgeable and patient. the room was a bit small in the sunshine library. i would've been more comfortable in a larger room. it would have been nice to have more colours to choose from. there was only grey and pink available. we learnt how to chain up, and single and double crochet stitches. these felt achievable in the two hours. it was really fun to learn and to find your own rhythm. i injoyed carols stories and it was special to be part of her passion of sharing the art of crochet.
  • 4/5 from Nicole Butcher, attended Nov 2023: Carol brought helpful materials including a board with all the different stitches, notebooks, hooks and yarn. We learnt a lot and enjoyed. Thank you, Carol.
  • 4/5 from Nikki, attended Apr 2023: Carol was lovely and welcomed us into her home to learn some crochet. Starting with the simple stitch, single crochet. She gave us a yarn ball each and a starting hook, along with a notebook. She was friendly, having a chuckle with us every now and then. If we made any mistakes, she guided you on how to fix it with ease. Thanks Carol for the lesson, I will be back! :)
