What you'll do

Join us for a fun and creative paint and sip class in Brisbane where you'll learn how to paint a masterpiece to take home. Under the guidance of experienced artists of Wesley Taylor Art Studios, even beginners will soon be painting with confidence - perhaps even a stunning sunset!

Enjoy a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for beginners
Wesley's Team will guide you through the process, making you feel right at home
All art materials are provided, just your creativity and enthusiasm

Immerse yourself in this two-hour workshop and unleash your inner artist. You'll leave with a beautiful painting to adorn your walls or share on social media, all while enjoying a rewarding and transformative experience.

We have either in the Brisbane City studio events or events at Restaurants. Note only the city is byo drinks and food, while the restaurants food must be purchased at the bar

Please note: Food and drinks are available for separate purchase at the licensed bar on-site. Social distancing measures are in place, and if you're feeling unwell, contact us in advance to reschedule without any cancellation fees. Aprons are not provided, but can be purchased beforehand for added convenience.

Note City session is at Uptown shopping centre, on level 1, Flamingo studio 2 next to the toilets on that level 1. Note we have 6 x other studios, so just making sure you find the right studio. The city studio is byo drinks and food

Sundays-Normal Paint, Stencil sessions. Please note stencil painting is not step by step, this is self inspired with stencils available to make it easier if not good at drawing.

The painting was quite hard for the time we were allotted which made it feel very rushed and hard to follow. We were also advised to start with the painting (intricate little details) itself over the background which felt like an oversight, resulting In a lot of time spent filling in the background - compromising the intricate details… it was okay but I’ve definitely had far better experiences. The photo attached was the pre-completed painting we were copying.

It was almost impossible to hear what the instructor was saying due to the wind and music so quite difficult to follow. Have definitely done better paint and sip experiences.

At the beginning of the session was told “I had to yell last night so I can’t talk loud so just watch”. Good cheap class, but there’s many other options for a bit more of a price so if you want to actually feel good at the end of your painting look at another option.

The venue was nicely set up, although the lights were a little dim and it was difficult to see at times. The materials provided was a 1 inch width paint brush and a 5mm width paint brush. The paints were 3 primary colours + white and all of this was perfect to paint the task at hand. Great value for money! We learnt how to paint a turtle (I didn't do a turtle, but), I learnt a lot of new painting techniques. I most enjoyed the conversation with other people in the venue and the teachers.

The instructions are were explicit but easy enough to understand and follow. I would definitely go again, and complete table service with ordering and receiving food and drinks! I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.

I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surrealism, animals, and people. North Queensland is a particular favorite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.

I specialize in pastel on card and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and airbrush.

I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.

I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons.
