What you'll do
Toddler and Pre-school Art Playgroup in the Inner West of Melbourne.A supportive and calm environment, helping you enjoy being creative with your kids, knowing you don’t have to clean up afterwards!Suits kids 1-5 years old (younger siblings welcome and free).Each week we do something different to keep things interesting.During August we will be inside keeping warm. (Hopefully) from September we will be outside in our garden!What will we be doing?The kids will be encouraged to move around the area as they please, choosing to be creative and play however they would like.We'll be doing things like:
- Scribbling and stamping their hearts out on plain butchers paper
- General painting
- Drawing on a window with special window crayons
- Painting standing up with a kids easel
- Colouring and painting colouring in sheets
- And having lots of fun!
- Using chalk on the concrete path
- Having some water play
- Painting on a sheet hanging on the fence
- And more!

The Fun In Art is a toddler & pre-school art playgroup in Inner West Melbourne.Weekly drop-in sessions for mums (or dads!) who want their little ones to experience the fun in art, without having to clean up afterwards!The focus is all about teaching kids to love art.It's a relaxed environment, with no judgements or expectations from the kids.Lots of materials are provided and set up in an inviting way. This allows each child to gravitate towards what they are interested in, and be creative in any way they choose to.Come to a single session, every week, or every now and then!Each session is based on a theme, and structured – however it’s not strict in any way. The kids can happily go off on a different direction or as they please.Location is from Williamstown Library, Newport Gardens, as well as a few local cafes.The Fun In Art is run by Tegan Farrugia. She is a local mum in Altona, and loves making wonderful messy art with kids. She created this community because she saw a lot of parents were scared to paint with their kids at home, and wanted to provide a safe space to do it. These sessions not only give little ones a chance to go crazy with paint, but also the ability for parents to not need to clean up afterwards. A win, win!
