Your teacher
I'm Anita, the creator of Slices of Heaven by Anita. My journey into cake decorating started as a hobby while I was working as a qualified hairdresser, but my passion for baking and creativity quickly turned into a home-based cake business. Originally from Brisbane, I moved to Melbourne 7 years ago where I had the opportunity to work with major cake decorating companies as a head decorator, class teacher, and manager. Over the past 10+ years, I've built extensive experience in cake decorating, teaching, and pastry arts, while also being completely self-taught in many of the skills I use today. I'm now a qualified pastry chef with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and I've also won multiple cake decorating competitions throughout my career. What I love most is teaching others in a supportive and hands-on environment. My classes are designed for all skill levels and ages 3+, with a strong focus on making sure every student feels confident, comfortable, and inspired. I truly believe anyone can learn with the right guidance, and I love sharing the techniques and knowledge I've learned through years of experience in the industry. This year I decided to start my own journey again and focus on building a creative community where people can learn, connect, and enjoy the art of cake decorating in a fun and welcoming space.
