  • 5/5 from Anonymized, attended Oct 2026: I loved this class! The tutor was thorough and knowledgable and placed suitable emphasis on safety (we are working with molten glass after all). With the friendly and patient tuition I made some flowers I am very happy with and am looking forward to returning to learn even more.
  • 5/5 from Jessica, attended Oct 2026: I really enjoyed this glass flower making class. The teacher was informative, extremely helpful and explained and encouraged us all the way through. • 5/5 from Gia Gatti, attended Oct 2026: Incredible lampworking experience in Brunswick I attended the glass flower lampworking workshop at Metal Battle Studio in Brunswick through ClassBento and it was honestly one of the best creative experiences I’ve had in Melbourne. If you’re looking for a glassblowing, lampwork, or flameworking class in Brunswick or the inner north, this is it. The teacher is a genuinely passionate artist and an exceptional instructor, patient, thorough and incredibly detailed. She walked me through every step of the flameworking process with real care, making sure I felt confident working with the torch and borosilicate glass. As a complete beginner I never felt lost or rushed, and I could tell she genuinely loves what she does and loves sharing it. The studio itself is stunning, doubling as a gallery space showcasing her own jewellery, metalwork and glass art. You can tell this is someone who truly lives and breathes their craft. The environment is inspiring and professional. What really made it special was that she gifted me hand-knitted lucky dumplings and served tea during the class. Such a thoughtful, generous touch that made the whole experience feel personal and memorable rather than just transactional. I left with a beautiful handmade glass flower and a genuine excitement to keep learning. I’d love to come back and explore more of what she teaches. A hidden gem for creative workshops in Melbourne.
  • 5/5 from Khalid Muhieddine, attended Oct 2026: This was such an incredible class! Our delightful teacher made us feel so welcome, and explained everything so clearly. She was able to step in and help us through some steps without taking over, and guided us perfectly. Would highly recommend!!

  • 5/5 from Thisari Dharmapriya, attended Oct 2026: Great fun, good presentation at the beginning, explained well. I felt comfortable and confident to try. I felt safe working with the materials. I wish I had a little bit more time. I found the welding hard and would have liked to practice that a bit more but there was not enough time. Making the petals was very fun

  • 4/5 from Lynette Watts, attended Aug 2026: I found this class really interesting with a lot to learn. Perhaps the workshop could be a little longer because our teacher needed to do most of the end work. It was advertised that you would make up to 3 flowers I struggled to make 2 in the allotted time. Apart from that. our teacher was very thorough and very helpful. Thabk you fro a lovely morning.

I am in awe with this craft and would 110% would do it again. The studio is cosy and easy to get to from Brunswick station. The teacher is incredibly kind, patient and knowledgeable. There is a very cute corgi. Lampworking is such a fun craft, after the initial nerves and a bit of a steep learning curve, you hit flow state, and it becomes so relaxing and meditative. The teacher was so incredible guiding me through the process and helping me create the cutest little flowers. I am very excited to visit again and would love to try her Jewellery making next! She also kindly helped us connect all the petals together which was trickier than expected! The studio had a very relaxed atmosphere with lots of plants, lots of examples to draw inspiration from, and a very cute corgi! We all had a great time and really enjoyed the flowers that we made. Our instructor also kindly provided us with tea and gave us snacks and gifts to take home. A really unique workshop, highly recommend!!
