Hi, I’m Larissa, the cake artist and founder of Madame Maricotta, a boutique cake studio based in Main Beach on the beautiful Gold Coast.My journey with cake decorating began in Brazil over six years ago, when I discovered how much I enjoyed creating beautiful cakes and being part of people's special celebrations. Over time, that passion grew into my own business, and today I feel incredibly grateful to do something I genuinely love.Before becoming a cake artist, I worked as a tour guide in Brazil for over ten years. I've always loved meeting new people, sharing experiences and making others feel welcome. I think that’s one of the reasons I enjoy teaching so much.One of my favourite parts of teaching is seeing how excited people get when they realise they can decorate their own cake. I love watching everyone get involved, try something new, laugh at their little mistakes and feel proud of what they've created.My workshops are relaxed, fun and completely hands-on. You don't need any previous experience, and I'll guide you through every step. I want everyone to feel comfortable, enjoy the process and have a lovely time together.As a Brazilian cake artist, I also enjoy sharing a little of my culture through my cakes, especially our traditional Brazilian fillings, which are always a favourite!I put a lot of love and attention into everything I create, from wedding cakes to the smallest details in my workshops.
