  • 5/5 from Sue Dixon, attended Oct 2026: Had a very enjoyable class at Carindale. Even though it wasn’t our usual teacher (who is fantastic), the teacher on the night was very helpful and encouraging—another great evening at Paint ‘n Sip.
  • 5/5 from Barbara Coates, attended Dec 2025: Another enjoyable and creative art night. I have been attending Paint and Sip painting classes with Diane for over a year now and have really enjoyed every one of them. I highly recommend this night of fun learning to anyone. Diane is a great teacher who inspires us all.
  • 5/5 from Helen Lack, attended Sep 2025: very fun evening. We painted Burleigh Heads beach with the view of Gold Coast. Step by step painting a picture is fun and instructive. Thank you Diane.
  • 5/5 from Helen Lack, attended Aug 2025: Fun evening of sipping and painting. Enjoyed every minute.
  • 5/5 from Helen Lack, attended Mar 2025: Another way of doing painting and learn to create to develop my own style. Thank you Diane
  • 5/5 from Helen Lack, attended Feb 2025: Very good teacher to learn from. She checks that everybody moves paint strokes about the same time. I have learned a lot from her. Thank you Diane.
  • 5/5 from Barbara Coates, attended Feb 2025: Another fun night painting our Japanese Bridge masterpieces guided by Diane. She is great teacher and artist. My friend and I just enjoy trying to imitate and follow her directions. I have learnt so much about mixing colours. Fun people attend as well and it is great to be able to admire and even laugh at each other's creation. I recommend this fun night out.
  • 5/5 from Danica Romano, attended Feb 2025: Would 100% recommend. Was easy to follow and very enjoyable!
  • 4/5 from Tracey Enders, attended Jan 2025: Overall it was a great, fun experience. Unfortunately it took a while to set up and then due to poor lighting we had to move after about 30 minutes or so to a new table so we could see detail. This wasn't the teachers fault, apparently the painting space had changed and this led to the confusion and poor lighting. I personally would have liked a little more direction from the teacher through the process with direct guidance. Other ones I have done, they look at what you've done and help out with perspective or size etc. To improve the finished product. So I wished it was a little bit more interactive between the teacher and student. 8 friends went, we all had fun and cucina is a great venue with fast drink and food service.
  • 5/5 from Helen Lack, attended Dec 2024: Very good class to learn a specific style of painting. I been attending the City class for one year. Just started in Carindale one month ago. Diane has been teaching me in the City and now in Carindale. Thank you Diane. I a may become famous thanks to your.
  • 5/5 from Anju Koirala, attended Jun 2024: It was a great night, the host was very welcoming and enjoyed. Will book for next soon
  • 5/5 from Fiona Smith, attended Jun 2024: I attended a Sip and Paint Class last Saturday with 3 of my friends and we have a great time! The teacher was lovely and we all managed to paint quite a good painting each. The food served was also great and we all had a really good laugh. Definitely value for money thank you!
  • 4/5 from Carissa Matthews, attended Jun 2024: Was good but having a clay table come in after we started wasn't appropriate, they were on another level which made it noisy for the painting group trying to hear and very unsettling. Otherwise was great.
  • 5/5 from Aidan Sutherland, attended May 2024: Was really good and engaging our instructor was lovely. Will definitely be coming back here
  • 5/5 from Zahra Marla Vallance, attended May 2024: I went for my birthday and I laughed so hard the whole night it was amazing. The dinner was absolutely beautiful as well. I highly recommend it.
  • 5/5 from Renee Cunningham, attended May 2024: We attended the class as a team building event, food and venue were great and teacher was helpful and made sure they got around to everyone to assist when needed.
  • 5/5 from Kellie Beckman, attended May 2024: It was great. Very good teacher, food and service. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to to a paint and sip.
  • 4/5 from Cathy Joseph, attended May 2024: Fun class but the teacher who was very sweet but was very hard to hear and seemed inexperienced. The paints were very watery and it would have been better to have fabric clothes not old chux Teacher didn’t provide much by way of technique (like other paint classes I’ve been too)
  • 3/5 from Nathan Simmons, attended May 2024: Paint and sip session was great. What was disappointing was the dinner combo. It’s cheaper to buy dinner after the paint and sip than to purchase the combo pack.
  • 5/5 from Tricia Movak, attended Apr 2024: This was our first Paint and Sip and we enjoyed it so very much. Will look forward to other experiences.
  • 5/5 from Fiona Koppens, attended Apr 2024: Had lots of fun. Good instruction. Worked at a good pace for everyone to keep up.
  • 5/5 from Liz Orr, attended Apr 2024: This was a lovely night, very well organised. We had dinner at the restaurant before the paint & sip session which made it easier. The restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. The teacher was very lovely and gave easy step by step instructions with plenty of time in between and offered assistance throughout! Would like to try the clay pottery session next time.
  • 4/5 from Gill Barrett, attended Apr 2024: Really good fun, teacher was really easy to understand and always checked on the artists. Only downside was the starting time, didn’t start until almost 7. The food and staff at La Cucina was perfect.
  • 3/5 from Trent Green, attended Apr 2024: I’m certain I booked UV paint n sip session but it turned out to be normal (no refunds allowed). Other people in the session were able to bring dogs which yapped all night.
  • 4/5 from Karen Schafer, attended Mar 2024: We enjoyed our social outing with work friends and the nice food and cocktails. Cherie was very knowledgeable and helpful. There were good instructions. We’re happy with what we made - heart trinket boxes, candle holders and little creatures like snails.

  • 5/5 from Maria Cervantes, attended Nov 2023: It was a really fun evening. The combo (food+class) was great, me and my friends had a lot of fun.
  • 5/5 from Teaomarama Huia-Cavanagh, attended Nov 2023: teacher was great she was clear when teaching but also walked around after each step to help and give feedback absolutely loved the class the food was also great too food was quick to come out and very filling
  • 5/5 from Sage Murray, attended Nov 2023: Absolutely the best night. We had a group of 10 and the girls hosting was amazing! The food and service were perfect. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.
  • 3/5 from Erin Kelly, attended Nov 2023: Firstly, I deliberately didn't book into a UV paint session. But then it turned out to be one. Then the class starting was about 20-30 mins late. The staff didn't appear to know what was going on. The painting teacher was very good and encouraging. The food was nice too.
  • 5/5 from Sthefanie Maria Sena Manica, attended Oct 2023: It was our first time at the venue and my partner and I had a great time. The staff were super friendly and we found the environment nice and chill. Food was a must! 5 stars for the restaurant! We will definitely come back!

  • 5/5 from Tanya Noreen, attended Sep 2023: The class was good fun and a great way to pass a Friday night. The teacher was good and gave clear instructions.
  • 5/5 from Allana Pitcher, attended Sep 2023: Wes is a fantastic patient teacher who explains things so easily and if you don't understand is happy to explain until you do. We stick to Fortitude Valley as the Italian Food and service is great. This is such good value for money compared to everywhere else in Brisbane. It was our groups third time and we will be back again. There is always something different to paint and something different to learn
  • 5/5 from Hoi, attended Sep 2023: Nice teacher on giving instruction and a good deal with the dinner. I think 2 hours might be a little bit rushed, but for me and my friends, an additional 15 minutes might be helpful and help us feel more relaxed. The dinner is amazing, you can choose one pasta or pizza for each person (except seafood), additional food and drink can be ordered via QR code and will be served to the drawing table. Recommend going to the place earlier for dining and enjoying the sipping with painting as it might be hard to eat while having fun.
  • 5/5 from Tayah Lockyer, attended Sep 2023: Such a fun class and great value for money, food was excellent. I went for my 25th birthday and would 100% recommend checking it out :)
  • 5/5 from Courtney, attended Sep 2023: Our teacher was amazing. Super supportive and kindly answering any queries we had. Easy to understand instructions. Highly recommend!
  • 5/5 from Liam Bowie, attended Sep 2023: Great teacher good equipment, table space gets a little crowded when you throw the dinner into the mix but it’s a good experience
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Aug 2023: Great class, easy to follow and charismatic host. Food was tasty and the drinks were delicious!
  • 5/5 from Courtney Robertson, attended Aug 2023: Amazing value for money. Meals included and were phenomenal. The guidance when paining was great as I’ve never painted in my life. 3 artists in the room to offer help and assistance. The drinks and atmosphere were amazing too. Overall a great experience and date idea!
  • 4/5 from Tamika Bray, attended Aug 2023: The venue didn’t sell normal drinks like soft drink so If going in a group one person couldn’t have a drink as there wasn’t a soft drink only alcohol or mocktails

Providing social art classes in beautiful South Brisbane

4.7 (2,502)

I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.
I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surrealism, animals, and people. North Queensland is a particular favorite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.
I specialize in pastel on card and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and airbrush.
I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.
I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons. I believe in bringing these experiences to the customer at the very best competitive price possible, the real Australian Way. We have the largest range of paintings available with over 80 paintings on the gallery page of Wesley Taylor Art Studios, with the painting for each week found on the web page.
We hope you enjoy these sessions for a fun experience. The paintings are creative for maximum impact of colors, while keeping in mind first-time painting experiences. Those with a little more practice will create some amazing pieces.
Let us plan your special events!
“Everyone has an artistic flair and simply needs to be pointed in the right direction."
The Wesley Taylor Art Studios Mission initially set out to create workshops at half the cost of other workshops for customers to be able to enjoy the experience of creating a piece of artwork. This endeavor was to create the foundation of employing artists with a like-minded sense of assisting customers to enjoy this time out while creating new art experiences. The goals of value for money for customers and employment for artists to run these fun activities that may mark a milestone, a birthday, a hen's party, a social activity, a first date, or company team-building events to build and strengthen relationships with a common bond of creating something new.
