Polymer Clay Jewellery Workshop: Lolly Cane Technique

Create a colourful polymer clay slab using the 'cane' technique and walk away with wearable art!

3 hours Class size 6 to 20 guests       $90

Join Bayside local polymer clay jewellery designer, Jenn Hallson from LaceyClay for a mindful, interactive workshop where you will learn all the techniques to design and make some truly unique polymer clay jewellery using the fun ‘lolly cane’ technique.
You’ll select your polymer clay colours and hear about some basics of colour theory, selecting suitable clay types, and how to prepare your clay for making.
Jenn will demonstrate the lolly cane technique to get the creative juices flowing, and you will get to mindfully create a clay ‘slab’ and build up your design with texture and pattern.
Using shape cutters (just like cookie cutters), you’ll cut out a range of polymer clay ‘components’ which will be baked during the workshop. Whilst your pieces are baking, you’ll get some ideas on using your scrap clay for brand new techniques and designs.
Choose from a wide range of jewellery findings to create 2-3 pieces which you can enjoy or gift to friends and family. You’ll be given tips to sand and assemble your baked polymer pieces ready to wear home!
There’ll be a wide variety of polymer clay, tools, and cutters available to purchase on the day to keep making from home.
This fun workshop is for kids from 10+ years, teens and adults. Kids under 10 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Please bring your own snacks and drinks.
