Are you keen to learn how to make candles? In this hands-on workshop from Aroma Shak, you'll create soy wax candles plus a beautifully fragranced diffuser oil for your own reed diffuser and pretty it up with organic flowers and crystals - if you choose to of course! As an added bonus, you will also create a gorgeous car diffuser.
With expert instruction from Lisa, a candle maker with 15 years of experience, you will learn everything you need to know about creating your own soy wax candles and a reed diffuser through step-by-step instructions, demonstrations and hands-on practice.
Don't worry if you don't have any experience, as this class is completely beginner-friendly, with a casual and fun atmosphere. You will be gently guided by Lisa in a safe, supportive, and friendly environment to learn the basics of making candles.
In this class you will learn:
  • The benefits of soy wax and why we are using it.
  • Why it is so important to use the correct size wick.
  • The basic techniques of soy candle making.
  • How to add fragrance oils and colour (optional) the correct way.
  • Candle safety.
  • How to create your own reed diffuser oil.
  • There will also be time at the end of the class for any questions you have to be answered.
On arrival, you will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of bubbles, tea or coffee and a grazing platter.
DIY kits will be available to purchase after the class if you wish to continue practising your new skills at home. A 20 per cent discount will be given to class attendees on the day. At the end of class, you'll leave with two soy wax candles and a reed diffuser to take home and add some lovely scents to your living space!

Hi, I'm Lisa from Aroma Shak. I lovingly create natural plant based, aromatherapy skincare products & bath products, i have also created my own essential oil range. I also create beautifully fragranced soy wax candles & soy wax melts.
My handmade journey started 15 years ago. I was very drawn to aromatherapy and the magic of essential oils and started my aromatherapy studies to delve deeper into the magic and healing of the plant world. Through this i discovered my passion for incorporating what i had learnt in my studies and using it to create a naturalskincare range. !
Around the same time i purchased a D.I.Y soy candle making kit - then i was hooked! I have been selling my skincare, candles & melts through markets, shops and more recently online. My products are also used by a local beautician.
Fifteen years on, I still formulate and hand make our eco-luxe natural products. I am now so excited to take the leap and share my passion and knowledge for natural body product creating and of course our soy candle, soy wax melt and diffuser workshops.
My workshops are such a great idea for hen's and bridal shower, birthday parties and team building.
I'm so excited to share my love for handmade with you.
