Make art and craft while watching a movie or documentary!

3 hours Location Brunswick Experience size 1 to 10 guests   $30 - $35 ($30 for Concession/Student/Child; $35 for General)

Join us for a cosy, creative evening of art-making and movie watching. Bring your own crafts or get inspired by our supplies as you relax in our intimate studio.
Whether sketching, writing or collaging, the movie or documentary will set the perfect mood for a laid-back night of creativity. Bring your favourite snacks and drinks and enjoy the good vibes. Perfect for creatives, movie-lovers and those that can't decide on just one activity!
That Paper Joint’s studio is a unique space in Melbourne, designed to feel like a cosy home away from home, with ambient lighting and eclectic decor. Park your drinks in the mini fridge, open your sketchbook and make the space your own. Before and after the movie, you’ll have time to relax and connect with fellow creatives.
Our movie nights will showcase cult classics to lesser-known artist documentaries.
We’re so excited to see how this fusion concept goes and we hope it provides a special place and time for a combo of art-making and film-watching.
The studio will be open from 6pm.
The movie will start at 7pm, (or earlier if everyone has arrived).
You're welcome to stay and craft with us until close at 9pm.

As busy teachers, we absolutely love having a cosy space to come along to, get crafty and unwind before the school term starts. There's always a great selection of movies to book into and we love getting to bring along our own projects, BYO drinks and snacks, and settle into a relaxed, creative atmosphere. The studio has great vibes and Max is always a wonderful host. Highly recommend for a cosy and creative movie night!

  • 5/5 from Jessie Upton, attended Mar 2026: This is my second movie night that I've attended. The vibe is very chill and quiet. It is such a nice relaxed atmosphere, I really enjoy it. Both times I've attended with a friend but it would also be a fine environment to go solo. Mostly, you quietly make while watching a film. There are lots of great places nearby that you can get dinner from - a few will deliver on foot to the shop or you can bring your own snacks. Thank you That Paper Joint for generously hosting these nights!
