  • 5/5 from Terena Harrison, attended Jan 2025: Our Kokedama class was fantastic in Docklands. Our teacher was very warm and went above and beyond informing us and answering questions about the construction and care for the plants. Her place is a relaxing environment and Rashmin was very helpful and supportive. She has set up a cafe workshop with market items for sale too.
  • 5/5 from Anna Xia, attended Jan 2025: Rashmi and her husband are newly weds who run a quaint little café that faces the Docklands library. She facilitates many creative workshops while serving a barista coffee or a tasty bagel. You get both coming to her workshop. Adorned with plants that she has propagated over time, we build our kokedamas from peat moss, coconut husk, perlite, garden soil, cotton threads and jute twine to wrap it all together. She’s very expressive in delivering the instructions and her love for plants is unmistakable. Hand knitted cosies to take home as well. Very cute activity. Gloves and apron provided.
  • 5/5 from Tanima Haque, attended Jan 2025: Had a great kokedama workshop and learned a lot. It was fun putting my kokedama together and the coffee and bagel were a lovely addition especially for a 9am start! The instructor was fun, patient and passionate.
  • 5/5 from Sadhana Sriram, attended Jan 2025: Rashmi and her husband was so cool and super helpful from the scratch to make our own kokedama. She was so patient teaching my lil one too.
  • 5/5 from Jamie Camamile, attended Jan 2025: We had such an amazing morning making Kokedama’s. We felt welcome from the time we walked in and left with not only a beautiful kokedama but so much knowledge as well. I can’t recommend trying this enough. We will be going back to do more classes with them.
  • 5/5 from Cleo Guy, attended Dec 2024: Was a lovely experience, fun to make and the teacher was super helpful! Gave great advice on how to make them yourself and on general plant care. The cafe is so cute and the handmade goods there are great to shop around after your class
  • 5/5 from Carmel Auld, attended Dec 2024: Rashmi was lovely. Very personable and friendly. Her guidance and assistance in the class was excellent and gave tips on maintaining our plants. Her partner was engaging as well. It made for a lovely couple of hours and to top it off the Bagel was delicious. We are looking forward to finding another course with her.
  • 5/5 from Olivia Hines, attended Nov 2024: Great class. The teacher was very kind and provided lots of help when I needed it. She also gave me some knitted beanies for the kokedama too!
  • 5/5 from Colleen Wurfel, attended Aug 2024: Thanks so much to Rashmi for having us!!! We had the best experience, the bagels were delicious, the coffee was great, Rashmi was a very nice helpful teacher that guided us making our first Kokedama. The art cafe is worth a visit by itself and the class is just an amazing bonus. I would recommend it!! Looking forward to our next visit :)

Rashmi is an architect turned crafter and small business owner with a vibrant cafe in the Docklands. She is someone who loves art and learning something new every day. Her journey to becoming an artist started with one art project at a time. She started making Kokedama’s and polymer clay earrings for a bit of fun. She loved it so much that she gifted a lot to her friends and which birthed her enthusiasm for handmade things. Soon they started making them together, and they all loved them so much that we decided to share the art with more people.
Creating something handmade is a fun process with lots of laughter and good coffee. You make new friends who love plants and art as much as you do.
