Intro to Landscapes Watercolour Workshop

• Beginner Friendly, no drawing or painting experience required.
• 2 hour class
• All materials included for use during class. You will also receive a digital copy of my supplies guide so you can feel confident shopping for your own supplies after class.
• You're welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks to the venue

What to expect:In this watercolour class, we will begin by learning the foundational skills of watercolour painting, including how to hold and use the brushes to create different lines and shapes, colour mixing and basic colour theory, and the fundamental techniques of watercolour.The skills build upon each other, and will be used in practise exercises to finesse your brush skills and understand how the watercolour paint reacts on the paper. Once you’re feeling confident about the techniques we will then learn how to apply these skills to create the different elements of a landscape piece, before working step by step to create a final artwork for you to take home! No drawing experience is required.Outcome:By the end of this 2-hour class you will have learnt basic watercolour skills and techniques, and understand how to create compositions and layers with these techniques. You will leave the class with your finished landscape piece, plus your pattern play pieces and any other practise pieces. You will feel confident in breaking down any landscape photo to turn into a painting, and understand how to create the composition.We will also discuss materials and I will provide a list of my favourite supplies at the completion of class, so you feel comfortable starting your watercolour collection!Note: This is available at a Brunswick Studio location, or as a mobile class where we come to you!
