- 5/5 from Alice Hollingsworth, attended Jul 2026: Really recommend this class for everyone. Nicole was fantastic teacher; very skilled and patient. We all loved our finished, professional looking hardback books. Wonderful to learn an old craft is achievable with our range of skills. Thanks Nicole for driving so far for our class. It took her an hour to set up all the equipment for bookbinding, with my 8 seater table just big big enough for 6 of us. Nicole set up 2 trestle tables for all the beautiful papers, and another small one for her demo. Hardest part was choosing papers for covers and inside, and fabric for spine. Sewing was pretty basic and templates used for all the cutting. Nicole made sure nobody was left behind. Books made with either hard or soft spines. Amazing results and all so different. A5 was a good, manageable size (glad I didn't choose A4). Class was 4 and a bit hours all hands on with no tea break! We bought Nicole's A5/A6 template set to make more books with friends who loved the idea. Need to go shopping for papers. Have lots of origami paper so also bought origami book templates but might do Nicole's class to learn properly. My daughter feels more confident now about how to her ambitious book for VCE Media. Thanks a lot Nicole.
- 5/5 from Amanda Davis, attended Apr 2025: I recently attended one of Nicole’s mobile bookbinding workshops with a great bunch of friends and cannot recommend it enough!! It was such an enjoyable and unique experience! None of us had done something like this before, but Nicole was incredibly patient, guiding us step by step through each process. Also correcting and assisting with any mistakes. Lucky Nicole had a great sense of humour because we were, at times, being a little silly and she joined in our shenanigans! There was also something very satisfying after you make your own book and it’s in your hand - it looks like one that you would buy!! Our host provided a high tea tower of delish treats and refreshing drinks to make the day that extra special. Thoroughly recommend if you want to try something new and have some fun!
- 5/5 from Mary Lam, attended Apr 2025: We had Nicole run a private workshop with my girlfriends at home. All materials and tools were supplied by her. She had a beautiful and wide selection of papers to choose from. We found Nicole to be very knowledgeable and fantastic at instructing people of different skill levels and personalities. Our group had varying experience in crafting and Nicole was able to cater to all of us and made sure everyone left happy and with a beautiful book. She was very patient with our constant chit chat and sometimes wavering attention! We all had so much fun!! Thanks Nicole for a wonderful afternoon!! I highly recommend her for your own private events or special occasion.
