For budding young artists, this 11-week drawing course in Mornington is a fun opportunity to build on their skills and learn how to draw anime! Each week they will expand their skills and creativity and be encouraged to use their imagination. Under the guidance of a friendly instructor, tweens will be empowered in decision-making and self-expression.
What your child will do and learn:
  • Learn Iconic Anime Styles: Master facial expressions, character proportions and dynamic poses that make anime so captivating.
  • Create Custom Characters: Design unique characters with their own personalities, inspired by the vast world of manga genres.
  • Meet like-minded kids and have fun improving anime characters.
Anime features a unique art style that emphasises character design, vibrant colours and imaginative settings. This aesthetic often includes exaggerated facial expressions and stylised features, which can enhance emotional impact and appeal.
Please ensure your child arrives to class fully prepared (see materials list below) as this will assist them to focus on learning.
Your child will feel proud of themselves along with a sense of achievement. It is about boosting their self-esteem, inspiring them, encouraging decision-making and expressing themselves through creativity to feel good about themselves.

Parents are not required to stay in the class as it is a drop & go activity.
Class may be postponed/cancelled in the case of insufficient bookings.

A contemporary Artist based on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, My belief is that art and colour play an important role in our lives. Greatly influenced by colour, my art generates feelings of love, light and joy.
Painting has filled a fundamental need in my life, it has helped me deal with the negative aspects of life and given me a sense of fulfillment. The use of paint, brushes and tools allows me to feel as though I am taken into another world, feeling peaceful and uplifted.
Growing up, I wasn't particularly creative, I was an adult when I discovered Art. I enjoyed it and kept going, I quickly developed a deep passion and love of working with paint. This gave me the confidence, self-belief and drive to continue. It felt as though I had filled a gap I hadn’t even realised was there. Through my own life experience I feel a part of my journey is to encourage people to reconnect with the joy in their life through art, therefore holding regular classes and workshops for adults & children at your location or mine. My motto is "Learn to Paint, Anyone Can".
With over 20 years of painting experience and having taught art to many people along the way, my painting styles are now numerous and can include fine detailed work, quirky, whimsical or layered drippy abstracts, often incorporating figures, words, birds and nature, in an array of vibrant colours. I enjoy the flexibility of painting with acrylics, using texture, collage and exploring various mixed media and abstract works.
My work is available online and at times is exhibited in venues and art exhibitions throughout Victoria, incorporating successful sales. I have held solo and joint exhibitions, along with sales throughout specialty shops.
I support animal welfare and homelessness via donations to a variety of charities.
