If you have started on your jewellery making journey and want to practise, these sessions are for you. Maybe you are stuck on soldering or are working on a fiddly project and don’t have quite the right tools or need a confidence boost.
Experienced silversmith, educator, and mentor Sarah is opening these sessions to provide ongoing support for emerging jewellery addicts who have caught the bug but need a little more support.
Whether you want to:
  • Work alongside other beginners
  • Create and chat
  • Quietly make alongside other people
  • Access tools (because so many of us don’t want to add to the pile of half-used craft projects and tools we have accumulated)
Or, if you just need a dedicated time and place to create, Sarah will provide a safe, encouraging space, access to all her tools, as well as support, encouragement, and supervision. These are not taught sessions, rather, they are collaborative crafting sessions.
What you'll get
  • Support and encouragement
  • Access to tools for soldering, texturing, doming, enamelling, lost wax and silver clay
  • To work on individual projects
Knowledge required
Some practical experience as these sessions are designed to further existing experience.
What to bring

Sarah Munnings was working in the corporate world of finance and when she was struck down by a devastating mystery illness. Tests, more tests, and months of trips to doctors led to the diagnoses of Fibromyalgia (a chronic pain condition). This led to Sarah to rediscover her creativity as her own personal form of rehabilitation and become a self-taught jeweller who developed a table top jewellery practice in her kitchen.
She now teaches others the amazing creations that can be made using copper, silver and brass. She uses traditional techniques of forging, soldering and texturing metal, and is passionate about using tools that are easily accessible so that her guests at workshops can continue their journey of discovery at home.
