Hi, I am an art educator and contemporary surreal wildlife artist specialising in oil and acrylic paints as well as ceramic sculpture. I graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Illustration in 1997 and a Bachelor of Education in 2000. As a practicing artist my work has been showcased in numerous print publications, included in finalist exhibitions such as Lethbridge 20000 and was awarded first place in 'The Doyles' in 2023. My work is held in private collections across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Portugal.I have been working as an art teacher in high schools since 2000, sharing my knowledge to thousands of students across a broad range of art mediums. I plunged into teaching adult art classes ten years ago as a way to share my joy of art making with a wider audience. Since then, I have created numerous online international art courses, provided an in-service workshop to Queensland Art teachers through the Queensland Art Teachers Association and been an official judge for the Royal Queensland Art Society. My belief is that everyone has creative ability, it is just a matter of finding what medium sparks your imagination. I hold weekend workshops as well as mid week art classes to cater for the different needs of my clients. My studio is located upstairs in Studio 8 - Currumbin, Gold Coast, in a comfortable setting conveniently close to coffee shops and specialty stores.
