Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this course is a great way to dive into the world of pottery!
Over the course of 3 weeks with total flexibility on dates and sessions, you'll have the opportunity to participate in various sessions that cater to different aspects of pottery, with 5 glazed pieces included.
Course overview:
  • Two pottery wheel throwing sessions: choose days between Thursday 6:30pm, Friday 6:30pm, Saturday 10:30am and 2pm, Sunday 4pm. Make two pieces on the wheel, then paint the pieces, ready for bisk and glaze firing. Two sesions with 2 x pieces glazed, total 4 pieces from wheel throwing.
  • One hand build session, Runs 7 days, including Friday 6:30pm, Saturday 5pm, Sunday 1:30pm
Make one piece such as a mug, then paint the pieces, ready for bisk and glaze firing.
Total 5 x pieces glazed from the 3 sessions.
Each session is two hours, where you will receive guidance from a patient and experienced teacher to help you make your own unique masterpiece.
This pottery class is a great way to express your creativity and have fun in a relaxing space.
The pieces will be ready for pickup 4 weeks after each class date.
Additional classes after the first booking, will be booked directly with us on email, for the further 2 x classes, after the first class.
You choose the dates and time, very flexible. So you do not miss any classes as it is not a weekly set schedule.
Note:
  • All sessions running weekly, pick and choose your dates, advance notice required for rescheduling three days notice.
  • Public sessions minimum number to run is four people.

For larger groups of 7 plus we also have the Birthday cake at no cost, or for smaller groups under 7 people this is $50 which includes plates, napkins etc
The studio is still byo drinks and food. We have platters available for advance ordering if that makes it easier. We only provide plates and napkins for our platters, otherwise it is also byo plates, cutlery, and glassware. We have paper cups available in every session.
What you'll get
  • Includes kiln firing process of one main piece per clay session, final second firing for the ceramic glaze paint session.
  • Materials provided, and a small craft tray to take your art pieces/clay masterpieces home. Welcome to leave for pickup another day if required.
Knowledge required
Suitable for absolute beginners, no skills required!
What to bring
  • You’ll need an apron and a bath towel for your lap.
  • Comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting clay on.
  • BYO drinks.

I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.
I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surrealism, animals, and people. North Queensland is a particular favorite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.
I specialize in pastel on card and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and airbrush.
I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.
I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons. I believe in bringing these experiences to the customer at the very best competitive price possible, the real Australian Way. We hope you enjoy these sessions for a fun experience. The paintings are creative for maximum impact of colors, while keeping in mind first-time painting experiences. Those with a little more practice will create some amazing pieces.
