Let's talk a little about plants, select your plants and decorations, and then get ready for the journey.

Terrariums in Progress

Mix your soil, layer it up, and finalise your decorations to make your magical world. In between all the work, we talk about the history of terrariums to familiarize you with your own creation.

Show Off Your Terrarium

After layering put your plants and decorations to finish. Take photos with your friends or group, all holding your unique terrariums!

Discover the enchanting world of terrariums in this engaging terrarium class! You’ll learn how to craft your very own miniature garden, choosing between an open-top glass vessel.

Don’t worry if you’re new to terrarium making, this friendly workshop is designed for you through the process with ease, making it a fun and rewarding experience.

During the class, you’ll be provided with all the necessary to bring your terrarium to life. As you nurture your creation, you’ll feel a sense of satisfaction and joy in creating something beautiful with your hands.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a stunning terrarium to take home, a delightful addition to your living space that will continue to bring you pride and happiness for years to come.

Please note, private booking requires a minimum of 10 people per session. If fewer than 10 people book, we will make it a public class for others to join. Please mention it during the booking if you are requesting a private class during your booking or we will treat it as a regular booking.

The teacher makes sure that everyone is able to follow the steps. I took the sessions with my 7yr old son and he enjoys coming to the class because the teacher is very patient with kids and she makes the class fun for all. Will definitely be back for trying out new sessions for our next school holidays.

Everything is explained and we weren't rushed. The only issue is that it's a little tricky to find...you have to walk up the lane on either side of the address, right around to the back of the building. But, we called and were collected as we didn't know where to go. Apart from that one tiny glitch, it was a really nice way to spend some time and we have the cutest terrariums to remind us of our lovely birthday afternoon.

I was stressing quite a bit which didn’t set the right tone to start a class that’s supposed to be relaxing. I would recommend to slow down a bit to make the class way more pleasant. Other than that, she was really good and the class was quite nice

In her beautiful studio in the Docklands, we spent the afternoon crafting, sipping coffee and chatting. The instruction was very clear and after demonstrating what to do, we were all given the opportunity to do it ourselves. This teacher is really good with kids, involving and engaging them through out the workshop. This is a great class to do with kids and the information on the history of terrariums and th detailed info on how to care for our new terrarium gardens was excellent

We all learned something new while also having fun, and that all came down to the team at Be-Ras Art Cafe, who shared their knowledge very generously while simultaneously creating a supporting and fun environment for us all to create something that we could be proud of. We'll definitely be looking into future workshops here!

Rashmi is an architect turned crafter and small business owner with a vibrant cafe in the Docklands. She is someone who loves art and learning something new every day. Her journey to becoming an artist started with one art project at a time. She started making Kokedama’s and polymer clay earrings for a bit of fun. She loved it so much that she gifted a lot to her friends and which birthed her enthusiasm for handmade things. Soon they started making them together, and they all loved them so much that we decided to share the art with more people.

Creating something handmade is a fun process with lots of laughter and good coffee. You make new friends who love plants and art as much as you do.
